✤ Looking for a Female Housemate for Warren Rd Apartment

Contact: Francine Barchett
Rent: $670/mo + ~$40/mo (utilities/internet)

Two GCF women, Francine Barchett and Emily Falica, are looking for a third roommate for our residence at 544 Warren Rd. Apt. 3 Ithaca. The opening would start on June 20th and go through the next year. We would like to select a tenant very soon – by March!

The new tenant should be female, preferably involved in GCF or the broader Ithaca Christian community. Rent is a great deal for Ithaca, as it is $670/mo (including parking) plus an average of ~$40/mo for utilities and internet. If of interest, there is a pet fee of $25/mo. There is also coin-operated laundry in the basement, a huge backyard, plus an attic for extra storage. The apartment is a short walking distance from a bus stop and about a 5-6 minute drive to campus.

Some information about Francine and Emily: Francine is a third year PhD student in Natural Resources & the Environment studying the hunting industry in Africa. She is also an ultramarathoner and hosts lots of events for GCF, many of which are held at this apartment. Emily works in the Cornell Southeast Asia Program, enjoys hiking, and has a cat! Photos and additional information about the place are here.

If you’re interested, tell us a bit about yourself! Reach out to Francine at fgb43@cornell.edu

✤ Rooms available in spacious Ithaca apartment

Contact: Olivia Graves | og84@cornell.edu
Rent: $840/month + utilities (gas/electric)
Lease: One year starting on 26 July 2024

I am looking for two new female roommates to join me in a wonderful duplex apartment located close to the Ithaca Commons. Proximity to two bus stops with multiple routes up to Cornell’s campus and a quiet neighborhood make this apartment ideal for graduate students.

The apartment feels very spacious with three bedrooms, two living rooms, a large kitchen, one and a half bathrooms, and plenty of additional storage space spread across two floors. Large trees (and occasionally a family of deer!) occupy the area behind the house, and this adds a country feel to all the benefits of being close to town (shops, restaurants, banks, etc.). The landlords are kind and responsive, and it has been a pleasure to rent from them since Fall 2020. Pets are acceptable on a case-by-case basis with a fee.

You can view more details about the apartment along with photos and a full video tour here: https://truerenewhomes.com/schuyler-114-3bdrm-furnished-room/. The apartment is fully furnished, including the two available bedrooms, but the furniture might not be the same as depicted in the photos / video tour. I am happy to give tours of the apartment in its current configuration to interested parties in person or via Facetime.

About me: I am a PhD candidate in Classical Archaeology at Cornell, and I moved to Ithaca in Fall 2020. I attended GCF’s bible study during the first year of my PhD, and I have been a member of Vineyard Church of Ithaca since Fall 2021. In my free time, I love to cook, go on long walks, and keep up with family and friends in my home state of California.

I am looking forward to finding two new roommates to join me in this lovely apartment, and please reach out if you have any questions!
